Topics Aleksandra Schmelig
Learn how to turn crisp summer cucumbers into bright, refreshing quick pickles using a simple salty brine, fresh dill, and garlic and other ingredients. In this hands‑on class, you will discover the fundamentals of brine‑based pickling: how to prepare the cucumbers, how to balance salt and aromatics, and why light fermentation has been valued in Poland for generations for both flavor and digestive support.
Once we set our cucumbers to pickle, we’ll make two vibrant summer salads for you to sample using jars the instructor prepared ahead of time. You’ll taste how quick pickles can instantly elevate seasonal produce and add a cool, tangy lift to warm‑weather dishes!
Throughout the class, you’ll sample pickles, compare flavor profiles, and get comfortable with the simple, natural process of fermentation. Everyone will leave with a sample of pickles and the confidence to keep experimenting at home.
