Become An Instructor

Marine Mills Folk School exists to help strengthen our communities and increase connections by inviting all people to discover the joy of creating together through traditional arts and crafts. So, what does that mean, really? Our classes are opportunities for artist-instructors and interested participants to come together to share knowledge and support each other in the hands-on learning of traditional skills.

We're always looking for artist-instructors to join MMFS!
Share your skills and interest in traditional arts and crafts at our folk school in a fun, supportive environment.

How do we support you?
As an instructor you are an independent contractor with whom we split class fees 50/50.  We collect your materials fee, market your class, and provide registration support.  Less than an hour from the Twin Cities, we are based in Marine on St. Croix.  We are housed in a former elementary school with light-filled rooms and a new air filtering system, which was installed October 2020.  For your safety we follow Covid guidelines from the CDC and the State of Minnesota. We encourage input from you and your students.  A participant survey is provided to students and the results are shared with you.

Interested?
If you are interested in becoming an instructor at MMFS, we would love to hear from you. Please complete our Instructor Interest Form.  Submit the form and a member of our Program Committee will contact you.  Thank you!
