Transform simple, natural materials into a beautiful, airy mobile that brings movement, color, and calm into any space. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to design and construct their own hanging mobile using natural straw, tissue paper, and twine. These mobiles—known in Poland as pająki (“spiders”)—are part of a century‑old folk tradition, once crafted to celebrate harvests, holidays, and the changing seasons. Today they remain a beloved symbol of women’s creativity, craftsmanship, and rural artistry. As you work with these humble materials, you’re stepping into a lineage of women who shaped these mobiles by hand in their kitchens, barns, and village courtyards. Each pająk becomes a quiet act of connection—an opportunity to feel the rhythm, patience, and creativity of the generations who crafted them before us.
