Nut-based cheeses have been growing in popularity and in flavor! Learn how to make two kinds of plant-based nut cheese. This two-day class will provide guided instructions and hands-on experience making your own culturing agent from grains (gluten free), blending and culturing nuts with other ingredients, and cooking nut cheese to the right consistency.
Students will take home their in-progress cheeses to refrigerate and air dry. We will also taste a variety of instructor-made finished nut cheeses.
Note: this is a 2-day class, taking place Friday, August 21, 5:00-6:30 PM and Saturday, August 22, 2:00-4:00 PM.
