From the best way to warp, to weaving and finishing, learn the basics of circular weaving by creating a hand-woven wall-hanging during this relaxed three-hour workshop. Circular weaving is a flexible and expressive way to create woven artwork. This project is a perfect introduction to the art of weaving for anyone who’s ever been interested in learning but feels overwhelmed by the specialized equipment. If you’ve already done basic weaving projects, it’s also a great introduction to stitch variations to add texture and interest to your projects.

Students are asked to bring:

free to bring a light snack, and any special yarns or fibers you would like to incorporate into your work.

Skill Level

No experience required.

Age Requirement

Students ages 8 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 8-15 must register with another registered adult. Ages 16-17 can register with parent permission (by an email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org).
