Laila Simon

Kate and Laila are knitters with a shared love of whimsy and tradition. Together, they founded Knit & Gather to teach others the craft they cherish. Both have been knitting for over twenty years and enjoy experimenting with a variety of materials and techniques. With Norwegian roots, they feel deeply connected to folk art and craft as expressions of heritage and community. Kate is a professional knitting pattern designer, and together, she and Laila teach fiber arts with the goal of sharing knowledge, fostering connection, and offering high-quality patterns, tools, and inspiration.
