MMFS Circular Sock Machine Crank-in – Saturday, April 5, 2025

We have Deb and Pete Oswald hosting a monthly Sock Machine Crank-in gathering at Marine Mills Folk School every first Saturday of the month!  MMFS invites all of you “Crankers” to the Folk School beginning at 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.  This will be a time for gathering like-minded Circular Sock Machine (CSM) enthusiasts who can share knowledge, demonstrate various techniques, and enjoy the local “Cranker” community. 

Bring your desire to join this new MMFS group with your CSM and other tools needed along with stories to tell and skills to share. If you do not have a Sock Machine, come and see what sock machines are all about.. maybe there is a machine waiting for you to purchase out there somewhere!

Marine Mills Folk School is offering this as a Community Event which will meet every first Saturday of the month. 

We ask that each person attending register for this event so we know how many people plan to attend.

A $10 donation will be greatly appreciated. 

Students are asked to bring:

• Circular Sock Machine and all the necessary items to make socks etc.
• We highly recommend you bring a lunch as this class does go over the lunch hour. If you need to buy lunch, you can do so at these local businesses. Covered beverages only at the table, students are welcome to take breaks to eat away from the work area.

Skill Level
No experience is needed.

Age Requirement
Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend this community event

NOTE: Be aware we may cancel the class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
