Kids in Nature: Spring (Ages 3-8)

Celebrate the arrival of spring with this joyful, hands-on outdoor workshop designed for children ages 3-8 and their caregivers. Kids in Nature: Spring invites families to explore the season through playful discovery, sensory-rich activities, and simple strategies that support early learning, connection, and emotional regulation.

During this 2-hour experience, families will go on a guided spring nature walk where children can search for signs of new growth, explore natural materials, investigate textures, and observe the world waking up after winter. Children will also participate in seasonal, hands-on activities such as nature weaving, dandelion art, mud art, scavenger hunt, and loose-parts engineering—using materials gathered from the landscape around them.

Throughout the workshop, caregivers learn easy, practical ways to encourage curiosity, independence, and co-regulation outdoors. Activities are thoughtfully designed to strengthen early math and literacy concepts, motor skills, sensory processing, problem-solving, and social-emotional development—all through play. This class is designed for children ages 3-8, but older and younger siblings are welcome to attend.

This class offers families a refreshing opportunity to slow down, connect with each other, and enjoy meaningful time in nature. Children leave feeling confident and curious; adults leave with simple tools and seasonal, nature-based lessons to continue outdoor learning at home.

Participants are asked to bring: 

Weather appropriate clothes that can get dirty

Class is designed for ages 3-8 and their caregiver(s); younger and older siblings are also welcome to attend. Price is per family / group.
