Create, Connect, Age Well – Miniature Clay Animal Vases – Thursday, January 29, 2026

Create a pet in miniature with Peg Medcraft, a crafty pottery instructor with 30+ years of experience. Students are encouraged to bring a reference photo to model their clay vase after a pet – or make an animal entirely of their own creation! In this 2.5 hour workshop, students will hand-build two tiny vases in the shape of an animal, one of Peg’s most popular designs. Students will receive hands-on guided instruction in a supportive environment, and each student will personalize their pieces by painting underglaze onto the clay. After class, Peg will take the clay animal vases home to fire in her kiln. Please note, finished projects will be available for pick up at Marine Mills Folk School a few weeks after class. You will receive an email when your project is ready for pick up.

Your instructor will provide the following:

• All tools and consumable materials

Students are asked to bring:

• Apron or shirt that can get messy.

• A pet reference photo, if desired.

NOTE: Be aware we may cancel class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
