Cool Trash: Introduction to Plasticsmithing – Saturday, March 8, 2025

Learn how to (safely!) transform plastic waste into cool stuff! Participants will make a keychain, magnet or pin to take home. All materials provided, but bring some clean plastic bottle caps if you can.

Materials that the instructor will provide:

• Panini press & toaster oven
• Cookie cutters
• Letter stamps
• Pin backs, magnets, keychain hardware
• Non-stick mats

Materials that students will need to provide: 

• Clean plastic bottle caps if you have them
• Lunch: Since your class is scheduled over a lunch hour, we highly recommend you bring a lunch or click HERE to learn about local eating opportunities in the area.

Skill Level:

No experience required.

Age requirement:

Students ages 16+ are welcome to attend this class with parent permission via email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
Students, ages 10-15, may attend, but the student must attend with a participating parent or guardian. (Tuition for students, ages 10-15, is $10 with a paid adult; please email info@marinemillsfolkschool.org for a coupon code.)
