In preparation for Valentine’s Day, take this class and carve hearts for all the loves in your life—or just a few folks near and dear to you! This welcoming workshop is perfect for both beginners and those with some carving experience. You’ll learn to carve wooden hearts while developing useful knife skills that translate into everyday life. The class will cover basic knife grips and sharpening techniques. Heart blanks will be provided by the instructor; participants may bring their own knife or borrow one from the school. By the end of the day, you’ll truly walk away with your heart in your hand.
Your instructor will provide the following:
- Heart blanks in various woods
Students are asked to bring:
- Their own carving and sharpening tools if they have them.
- Since this class runs over the lunch hour you may want to bring a lunch or click HERE to learn about local eating opportunities.
