A medicinal herb garden is a living space that supports health, wellness, and connection to the natural world. Many medicinal herbs are easy to grow, beautifully textured or flowering, and beneficial to both people and pollinators. Their natural resilience also makes them excellent companion plants for vegetables, making them ideal for beginner and experienced gardeners alike.
In this class, we’ll explore topics such as:
- Designing a medicinal herb garden
- Selecting herbs suited to your growing space
- Annual vs. perennial medicinal plants
- Starting from seed and working with transplants
- Polyculture and companion planting
- Understanding growing conditions
- Harvesting and using what you grow
Participants will develop a personalized plan for incorporating medicinal herbs into their own gardens and will start seeds to take home and grow. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is required.
Instructor will provide the following:
All planting supplies, seeds and seedlings, potting soil
