Create, Connect, Age Well Presents…

Taking Time for Tea class with Gemma! 

Come join us for a relaxing time celebrating the spring season by learning about tea. You will master how to brew the perfect pot of tea, enjoy tasting different teas and participate in sampling delicious accompaniments that highlight the enjoyment of unwinding with tea.

Gemma will demonstrate how to make irresistible, flaky scones from scratch and teach you how to make luscious lemon curd to accompany your scones.

No prior baking experience is required–just bring your love for tea and a desire to learn!  Join us for this springtime tea celebration!

Please bring:  Your own tea cup to personalize the experience.  If your tea cup has a history/story to go along with it, we would love to hear about it!

Your instructor Gemma is a culinary expert with a passion for tea and baking. She previously had her own tea business and has had years of experience honing her baking skills and increasing her baking knowledge through teaching and baking demonstrating. Her greatest interest now is in sharing her expertise through teaching classes in these areas. She will give you great tips and provide you with ways to enhance your own skills and hopefully help you enjoy your own baking experience.

Marine Mills Folk School recognizes how challenging it is to stay physically, mentally and socially strong in this environment. Create, Connect, Age Well is a folk school experience that helps aging adults (65+) thrive in the 21st century. Try something new. Build skills. Be creative. Connect with others looking to live long!

Each Create, Connect, Age Well session includes:

• An instructor-led Folk School learning experience that exercises the brain and stretches the imagination!
• Social connection and reflection time
• A safe and welcoming environment to try something new!
• Coffee, tea and snacks

Age Requirement
Students ages 65 and older are welcome to attend this class.

Skill Level 
No experience needed.  Just a desire to learn and have fun!

NOTE:  Be aware we may cancel class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance a teacher’s need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
