Tasha Hock

Tasha Hock is passionate about textiles—their history, their role in contemporary lives, and how they connect us to one another. She’s relentlessly curious and loves learning about people and what is most important to them. She believes that what we do and how we choose to do it matters; that art is not an elite endeavor but exists in and for everyone.

Tasha’s work celebrates the profound way textiles weave together personal stories, cultural histories, and shared experiences, exploring the rich tapestry of human connection. She investigates the historical significance and contemporary relevance of the handmade and loves helping people build skills to express themselves.

With a BFA from Southwestern University, an MFA in Sculpture from Washington University, and a fellowship at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Tasha brings deep artistic expertise to her teaching. She loves to build and sustain vibrant, creative, impactful communities through art.
