Natalie Norman

Natalie became interested in the culture of the Swedish costume pieces when her young daughter joined a Swedish choir and dance group over 20 years ago.  She has taught these classes and has had the joy of public speaking on the history of the “kjolvaska”, or skirt purse, from many of the Swedish parishes.   A Minneapolis native, Natalie is a recent recipient of a Folk Arts and Cultural Traditions Fellowship from the American Scandinavian Foundation (ASF).
