Tree Portraits

Learn how to make unique, pressure-print “portraits” of tree bark patterns using printmaking tools and ink. Instructor Robin Garwood, whose work blends book arts and printmaking with ecological and place-based practice, will guide you through this unique and innovative way of creating tree impressions on paper.

This class will take place outdoors, and each student will leave class with a portrait of a tree of their choice near the Folk School on archival paper.

Skill Level 

No experience required.

Age Requirement 

Students ages 16 and older are welcome to attend this class. Students ages 16 and 17 may attend without a parent/guardian in attendance as long as MMFS is provided with written parental permission by email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
