Paper Quilling

Learn the art of paper quilling! Originally called paper filigree, this traditional craft dates back to the Renaissance and involves the manipulation of paper to create intricate, 3D designs. 

Paper quilling begins by rolling thin strips of paper into individual coils. These coils are shaped and glued together to create intricate designs with endless creative possibilities.

This class will cover the basic techniques of paper quilling and give you the tools and confidence to continue exploring this simple yet elegant art form on your own.

Your instructor will provide the following:

• quilling strips 

• quilling tool 

• glue

• scissors 

• ruler 

• circle guide 

• cards 

• envelopes

• cardstock

Students are asked to bring:

Since your class runs over the lunch hour, you may want to consider bringing a lunch or snack. 

Skill Level

No experience required. 

Age Requirement 

Students ages 10 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 10-15 must register with another registered adult. Ages 16-17 can register with parent permission by email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
