This workshop is for anyone who has ever wanted to keep track of the plants they have found. We will discuss a few different ways you can make an herbarium, and then we will make one! Herbariums are plant specimen books including dried samples, drawings, records of your observations of the plant, etc. We will build the book structure of the herbarium and spend the rest of the time filling the pages with eco prints and mounting dried flora on the pages. The herbariums made in this workshop will hold items up to ⅛” thick and up to 10” x 8½”. Bring your own dried flora to mount in your herbarium, a limited number of dried flora (some flowers and leaves) will be available to participants. Tips on how to prepare flora are available upon request.

Your instructor will provide the following:

  • Paper
  • Board
  • Glue
  • Brushes
  • Cover paper
  • Screw posts
  • Tape

Students are asked to bring:

  • 2 screwdrivers or coins
