Create, Connect, Age Well: Watercolor Florals

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll explore a variety of foundational watercolor techniques while creating your own floral artwork. Learn how to transfer a sketch onto watercolor paper, work with masking fluid, and experiment with both wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry painting methods to create soft blends, texture, and depth.

You’ll also have the option to enhance your piece with gel or paint pens for added detail, dimension, and a fun mixed-media touch. This class is designed to be approachable and encouraging, making it a great introduction to the fluid, expressive nature of watercolor painting.

At the end of class, you’ll finish your artwork in a display mat, giving your piece a polished, professional look that’s ready to frame or gift.

About the Instructor: Surelle Strike

Your instructor will provide the following materials:

• all project materials, including watercolor paper, mats for framing, masking pens, watercolor, brushes, cups, paper towels, masking tape, hair dryer
