In this class, you will learn to paint with alcohol inks, creating a playful, vibrant sunflower. Alcohol ink painting is abstract and playful, giving you the freedom to paint without rules!
To make your sunflower, you will start with the center. You will then create the petals using a hand rubber blower. Remember that this is abstract, so don’t worry that each petal is perfect. The last step is to create the center by dropping various colors to brighten and create depth in your flower. Alcohol inks are very forgiving, and if you don’t like a part of your picture, you can wipe it off with isopropyl alcohol.
You will make one 6” x 9” painting in your chosen colors. If there is time, you can create a second painting with a white or black background. Your instructor will be there with ideas and guidance along the way.
