Box building is a time-honored tradition within book arts. Hand built boxes serve many functions; from holding tools to preserving fragile books. Participants will be learning the basics of box building while creating two differently styled lidded boxes. Students leave with both a hand crafted lidded box and a hinge-top box.
Your instructor will provide the following materials to use:
- A pre-cut board, paper and cloth
- Use of all needed tools and supplies
Students are asked to bring:
- A bag to carry things home in
- As your class is scheduled over a lunch hour, we highly recommend you bring a lunch.
