About Us
Marine Mills Folk School exists to enrich lives and strengthen community by inviting all people to discover the joy of creating together from a folk school tradition.
We are based in Marine on St. Croix, less than an hour from the Twin Cities, MN. We are housed in a former elementary school, which demonstrates our values of sharing resources and being grounded in community. Our classes are opportunities for artist-instructors and interested participants to come together to share knowledge and support each other in hands-on, in-person learning with no grades or competition.
Instructor support
Instructors are independent contractors with whom we share class tuition revenue 50/50 after a 15% administrative fee is applied. We market your class, manage class registration and payments, and provide administrative and day-of support.
