Create with nature in this hands-on workshop exploring Garden Impressions—a simple, beautiful process of transferring natural dye from fresh flowers and plants onto paper greeting cards and fabric using the technique known as flower pounding.
In this class, you will explore how different plants create unique impressions through the flower pounding process. You will experiment with composition and color as you create 5 botanical greeting cards and 2 wearable fabric petal pins/patches.
About the Instructor: Winna Bernard
Your instructor will provide the following materials:
All class supplies, including petal pins/patches, 5 greeting card with envelopes for each student, flowers & plants, clear button pins, hammer and tools.
Students are asked to bring:
Optional: students are welcome to bring flowers and plants from their own gardens to try printing with.
Skill Level
Beginner-friendly, no experience required. This class requires some hand, arm, and shoulder strength and dexterity as you use hammers in the flower pounding process. The instructor will provide assistance and support during class; if you may need accommodations or special considerations, please reach out ahead of time and we’ll do our best to support you.
Age Requirement
