Create a pure silver necklace pendant using a real leaf! In this class we will use leaves to imprint designs into silver clay. Students will have the option of adding gemstones and will torch fire the completed piece in class.
Metal clay is a material made from silver particles, an organic binder, and water. Once fired, the binder burns away and the piece becomes 99.9% silver. In addition to torch firing, students will learn basic metal clay techniques including how to work with the clay, create the design, and how to prep the piece for firing.
Each student will receive 10g of metal clay, enough to create 1 finished leaf pendant.
