Susan Rockwood
Susan Rockwood became a flower farmer 12 years ago, after retiring from a career in healthcare administration. She started Arcola Trail Flower Farm, a small commercial cut flower farm in Stillwater Township, and now grows over 75 varieties of cut flowers using organic and sustainable methods. In addition to selling flowers to wholesale and retail customers, Susan enjoys teaching about all aspects of cut flower farming and floral design. As a farmer florist, she is committed to using only fresh, locally grown flowers and foliage to create artfully designed arrangements. Her design style focuses on color, texture, and each stem’s unique shape and natural beauty. She has studied with several well-known designers and currently serves on the board of the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers.
