Learn how to grow, harvest, and dry your own flowers. In this class, regenerative flower farmer and botanical artist Alison Bakke will share her favorite flowers to grow, how to prepare your soil, and instructions for planting and tending your blooms through the season. You’ll learn when to cut each flower for the strongest color and shape, along with simple drying methods that preserve their natural beauty.

The class will explore air‑drying, plus tips for storing and styling your finished botanicals. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into regenerative growing practices that support both your garden and the ecosystem around it.

This class price includes some of Alison’s favorite seed varieties, soil, and a tray. Students will leave with a try of started seeds and will gain the knowledge and confidence to grow your own dried flower garden that lasts beyond the harvest.

Instructor will provide the following:

Seeds, soil, plastic tray or small pots, and a cover

Students are asked to bring:

Apron, garden gloves or disposable gloves

Since your class runs over the lunch hour, you may want to consider bringing a lunch or snack.
