Spring Birding

Spring birding is all about catching migrating birds as they make their way north to their breeding grounds. Join avid birder Michael Karns for an exploration of the spring migration, and sharpen your skills in identifying warblers along the way. Together, we’ll observe seasonal movement, listen for song, and deepen our understanding of these vibrant travelers.

Students are asked to bring:

• Binoculars
• Note taking materials
• Outdoor footwear
• Weather-appropriate clothes
• Sunscreen, bug spray, rain gear
• Since your class runs over the lunch hour, we recommend you bring a lunch.

Skill Level
No experience required. Students must be able to walk on uneven ground for several hours.

Age Requirement
All Ages. Youth under age 17 must register with another registered adult.
