Create, Connect, Age Well – Make an Evergreen Swag – Thursday, November 20, 2025

Join us to celebrate the season and make your own evergreen swag that will bring beauty to your home throughout the entire winter!  You will learn how to construct the swag and can choose from a vast array of greenery to design it just to your liking.  Optional ribbon and embellishments will also be provided.  You are welcome to bring your own special decorations as well if you would like to personalize it even further!  The beauty of the swag is that it can compliment a wreath or stand alone.  It looks lovely next to or on a front door!

Leave the set up, the supplies, and the cleanup to us – just come and enjoy the morning!  Invite your friends and family to join you for this fun, informative, and festive class guided by one of our most popular artisan-instructors, Kirsten Skoglund. 

Your instructor will provide:

• Fresh, local greenery
• Other decorative items to adorn your wreath
• Garden shears
• Wire snips
• Locally made swag frame
• Floral wire
• Coffee, and treats for your enjoyment

Students are asked to bring:

• Apron
• Any additional decorative items you would like to add to your wreath!

People are living longer than ever and the world continues to change at an increasingly fast pace. Marine Mills Folk School recognizes how challenging it is to stay physically, mentally and socially strong in this environment. Create, Connect, Age Well is a folk school experience that helps aging adults (65+) thrive in the 21st century. Try something new. Build skills. Be creative. Connect with others looking to live long!

Each Create, Connect, Age Well session includes:

• An instructor-led Folk School learning experience that exercises the brain and stretches the imagination!
• Social connection and reflection time
• A safe and welcoming environment to try something new!
• Coffee, tea and snacks

Age Requirement

NOTE:  Be aware we may cancel class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance a teacher’s need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
