Come and learn how to preserve rhubarb by making jam, syrups, conserves, and sauces. We’ll learn how to properly freeze and use your fruit in the depths of winter when you just want something summery to eat.
Students will make rhubarb jam, rhubarb syrup, and a rhubarb conserve in class and receive a recipe book to use at home during the rhubarb season.
Your instructor will provide:
- jars and bottles to take your preserves home
- recipe booklet
Students should bring to class:
- Water or snacks, if needed
Age Requirement
Students ages 10 and older are welcome to attend this class. Ages 10-15 must register with another registered adult. Ages 16-17 can register with parent permission, which you can give with an email to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org.
Skill Level
No experience necessary.
