Explore chairmanning by learning the foundational skills of green woodworking while making a beautifully crafted stool. Skills of focus include: timber selection, splitting, shaping, joinery, and design. With diligent work, the student will be able to take home their very own handcrafted seat to sit on.

This class takes place over two days: June 29 and 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Students are asked to bring:

  • Comfortable safety glasses
  • We highly recommend you bring a lunch as this class does go over the lunch hour. If you need to buy lunch, you can do so at these local businesses.

Skill Level
This class will be structured to allow participants to succeed at building the project with no prior knowledge. Safety will be a top priority while we use razor sharp hand-tools to shape solid timber. While no particular skillset is required, an eager attitude and open mind is necessary for an enjoyable experience.

Age Requirement
Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend this class.
