*July and August classes will open to members on May 14 and non-members on May 16. Not a member? Sign up here. *

In this class, you will learn the basics of working with polymer clay, and at least two techniques for creating a design in the slab. You will leave with a one-of-a-kind dish for trinkets and jewelry!

Use any colors you want to create a “watercolor” or confetti slab. You will cut the slab and cure the dish in class. Students will be able to add gold accents to the edge or other areas of the design, or craft-paint to handpaint a design.

At the end of class, you’ll take home a beautiful, organic-looking clay trinket dish that will be perfect to hold rings, keys, or pocket change. It will be a gorgeous handmade addition to your decor!

Your instructor will provide the following:

  • polymer clay in multiple colors
  • rolling pins
  • glass trays to work on
  • gold leaf
  • craft paints and brushes
  • pasta roller to achieve uniform thickness
  • cutting tools
  • stamping/ carving tools

Students are asked to bring:

  • Students should wear clothes that may get clay or paint on them. Polymer clay isn’t the messiest of mediums, but it is possible.
  • As your class is scheduled over a lunch hour, we highly recommend you bring a lunch or click here to learn about local eating opportunities.
