Needle Felted Gift Toppers – Saturday, December 7, 2024

Join us for a fun morning of needle-felting simple projects that you can use to top holiday gifts or hang as ornaments. This class is great for beginners. You will learn how to use wool roving and needle-felting needles to form each object.

Participants will choose from these projects to complete in class:

Needle Felted Acorns

Needle felt wool acorn shapes in a variety of sizes and colors, glued into single and double acorn caps to complete a set of eight decorative acorns and one oak acorn branch. Perfect to use as a table decoration, add to a holiday wreath, or tie onto a gift box. Great hostess gift.

Needle Felted Gnome

This little gnome is fast and easy to make as a gift topper, ornament, or a pin for your coat. Needle felt a flat gnome and choose one of three finishing options.

Needle Felted Berries

The simplest form of needle felting, little round berries, are artfully colored and combined with cut and stitched felt leaves to top a gift box or pin to your hat or coat.

Your instructor will provide the following:

• all materials to make one: gnome, acorns with a leaf, or crabapples with a leaf. Additional kits will be available for purchase.

Students are asked to bring:

• Those with previous experience can bring their own needles and foam. 
• Snacks if needed, as there are no food facilities at the folk school

Skill Level
No experience is needed.

Age Requirement
Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend this class.

NOTE:  Be aware we may cancel the class if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. We work to balance teachers’ need to plan for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. Please register as early as possible!
