In this class, you will learn two fundamentals of metalsmithing — piercing and riveting — as well as how to properly use a jeweler’s saw and hand drill, set a basic non-ferrous rivet and learn design skills that work for the technique. You will leave the class with all of these skills along with a pair of Earrings!
Materials that the instuctor will provide:
- 20 gage copper and brass wire
- 16 gage copper and brass wire
- #55 drill bits
- limited 20 gage sterling silver wire
- glue stick
- tracing paper
- sandpaper
- saw blades if necessary (size 2/0)
Materials that students will need to provide:
- Pencil for sketches
- Sketching paper (nothing fancy)
- Personal safety glasses

- No experience required.
