Krokbragd sheep

In this class, students learn how to read a simple Krokbragd pattern to weave a cotton band. Unlike plain weave patterns which utilize only 2 sheds (up and down), Krokbragd patterns utilize 3 sheds and so require additional setup and manipulation of warp threads. If you have taken Beth’s introduction to band weaving class or have some experience with band weaving, you will love expanding your knowledge with this technique.

Students will also learn how to design a Krokbragd pattern and what to consider when what you’ve woven doesn’t look like the example. Depending on length of their woven band, students can make a lanyard, key chain or bookmark.
