Family Spoon Carving (Ages 15+), August 3, 2024

This class is designed for you and your daughter or son to learn the basics of spoon carving together.

Join us for a 4 hour introduction to the craft of greenwood spoon carving. You will finish the class with your own hand carved serving spoon. For the first part of class we will study safety,

knife grips and traditional techniques for carving. For the rest of the class you will apply what you have learned to transform a spoon blank provided into your completed spoon.

Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting full of wood chips and closed toed shoes.

All tools and supplies provided.

Students are asked to bring:

Skill Level
No experience required.

Age Requirement
Students between the ages of 15 and 18 may attend without a parent/guardian in attendance as long as MMFS is provided with written parental permission. Email is okay.
