Norwegian pickup band weaving

There are endlessly fascinating weavings that can be created on an Inkle loom. This type of band weaving has been around for centuries. In this class, you will learn how to follow a pickup pattern, how to pick up/drop pattern threads, and what to consider when designing a pickup pattern. Students will weave a cotton band displaying distinct motifs and create a lanyard, key chain or bookmark in class.
