Knot baskets are particular to Telemark and the West Coast of Norway and the Hedesunda region of Sweden. This intensive four-day class begins with a close study of baskets the instructors have created. Students will then begin crafting a 10 x 10 x 8-inch basket using only a few tools and simple methods. The class will progress from how to select, gather, and process the materials to carving the “knots” and splitting out of corners, uprights, and weavers. You will also learn proper techniques to achieve tight and good-looking baskets.

Note: This class will be held for 4 days: Friday July 18th, Saturday July 19th, Sunday July 20th, and Monday July 21st, 2025.

Knutkorg Basket Instructors Fred and PhilClass instructors are Fred Livesay and Phil Moody.
