What about making a Potato Basket? Potato Baskets have been around for many, many years. You will make a ribbed potato basket, practicing those ribbed basket skills but without a handle. Just something a bit different.
Join Kirsten, a long-time instructor who will have you laughing and learning, she’ll help you ease into basket weaving with no stress, you’ll be amazed at how fast the time goes.
You will learn rib basket techniques. Thoughts on this basket:
-
This basket does not have a handle but rather hand holds.
-
You will learn to add spokes as you weave, unlike stop-weaving.
-
You will leave the class with a finished basket and that will be a good thing
*This class runs over two days:
Saturday, February 8, (9:30-3) and Sunday, February 9 (9:30-noonish)
You will work hard during this class but the outcome will be well worth it. There is truly something magical about taking basic supplies from nature and making a functional work of art. You will love this class!
The instructor will provide all weaving supplies.
