Have you been wanting to jump into the world of green woodworking and slöjd?
This is the perfect one-tool class for someone who wants an introduction to wood carving, but the course is open to all skill levels.
The universal symbol of love – The Heart. Simple, quick, therapeutic to carve, and a great way to learn various knife grips. The theme of the class is gift giving, and to learn quickly carve hearts utilizing various efficient knife grips until you have a pocket full of them. Once your pockets are full, and you’re armed with some extra love, use these little gifts to brighten someone’s day. Hand them out to friends and family, create a conversation with someone new, or gift one to the random passerby. Once the technique is learned, you can scale up the size and make much larger hearts to use as art pieces on the wall, paperweights, or centerpieces for the table.
Students will have the option to learn simple chip carving / letter carving techniques and paint their hearts with supplied milk paints.
