In this metalworking class, students will fabricate a bezel and set a stone to create a pendant or alternative piece of their choice. Along the way, students will also learn how to solder and pierce to create a metal design that complements the stone. This class will be a TWO DAY CLASS. August 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AND August 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Materials that the instuctor will provide:
- Copper sheet
- Brass sheet
- Limited sterling silver
- Glass cabachons
- Solder & flux
- Firebricks
- All necessary tools
Materials that students will need to provide:
- Pencil for sketches
- Sketching paper (nothing fancy)
- Personal safety glasses
