There are endlessly fascinating weavings that can be created on an Inkle loom. This type of band weaving has been around for centuries. In this class, you will learn how to follow a pickup pattern, how to pick up/drop pattern threads, and what to consider when designing a pickup pattern. Students will weave a cotton band displaying distinct motifs and create a lanyard, key chain or bookmark in class.
Your instructor will provide the following materials:
- 100% warped loom (90% warped; warping is not taught in this class but is briefly discussed)
- Shuttle (pre-wound and ready to use)
- Written instructions

Skill Level
Beginner. Basic band weaving techniques are emphasized in the plain weave class and reviewed/reenforced in this class. It is not strictly necessary to have taken the plain weave class first though it is helpful.
Age Requirement
Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend.
