Our Hmong embroidery teacher, Mandora Young, is back to teach us another beginner-friendly technique using the reverse applique embroidery method that is popular in traditional Hmong textiles. Students will learn how to fold and cut a snail motif on a piece of fabric, learn stitching techniques, and complete the piece by stitching a border. The finished piece can be hung or displayed.
Basic embroidery skills, such as threading the needle and using running stitches, are all you need. Depending on the student’s needlework level, the project may be completed in class.
Your instructor will provide:
- embroidery needle
- fabric (cotton fabric in bold colors and size of fabric varies)
- floss
- thread

Age Requirement
Students ages 18 and older are welcome to attend this class.
