Woodworking Studio Coming in Spring 2023!
After much discussion and planning with our woodworking friends, we’re excited to announce that we are opening a woodworking studio in Spring 2023!
Woodworking classes have been on our course calendar since we opened our doors in October 2018. We currently offer Wooden Paddle Building, Spoon and Open Carving, Kolrosing, and more — and the demand continues to grow.
The challenge, however, is that our instructors supply their own tools and materials for classes and free open carving sessions. With fundraising and through generous private donations, and we will resolve this issue in 2023!
We have a location picked out for the woodworking studio at the school and are working to refurbish and equip it. Having a dedicated woodworking studio will benefit our entire school community by opening up classroom space for fiber arts, visual arts, crafts and our many other courses.
If you’re interested in helping with the woodworking studio — through donations of time or expertise — please reach out to info@marinemillsfolkschool.org. Thank you!
