Laura Ricketts

Laura Ricketts is a designer, teacher, author, and former TV show host for In the Loop with Laura. Her history and education background fuels her articles and teaching. A North American expert on Sámi knitting, Laura’s work has been featured in Knitsy online magazine, PieceWork, Knitting Traditions, BÁIKI: The North-American Sámi Journal, the Defarge book series and Midwestern Knits! She has lectured and taught at the American Swedish Institute, Finnfest, the Nordic Knitting conference in Seattle and Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum as well as at knit stores and yarn gatherings. She lives in north-central Indiana.
