Minnesota textile artist Katrina Ulrich has trained in India with master printers and has brought those skills back to the midwest to share with you. Katrina started to learn textile skills at the age of five. She’s gone from knitting, embroidery and sewing on a treadle sewing machine – to training with a master weaver and then in quilting, dyeing, block printing, and watercolor painting as an adult. Katrina is like most of you, well rounded in many textile and arts and craft skills. Her passion for India and its many craft traditions makes teaching and practicing block printing a source of great joy.
