Tanna Worrell

Tanna Worrell has lived in Polk County for almost 40 years, more than half those years on 40 acres near Centuria, Wisconsin. As a Foraging Guide, she has helped people identify, harvest, prepare and store wild foods in this area since 2013.  She is a lifelong lover of nature, wild foods and folk medicine.

Foraging for Wild Edible & Medicinal Plants + Herbal Remedies for Health

This is a combination class with Tanna Worrell, the Friendly Forager, and Heather Mashuga, master herbalist.   Participants will learn about how to ethically forage and how to identify plants for both eating and for medicinal and health benefits.  At the end of class, the group will prepare a dish to eat and make a folk medicine salve, tincture or infused oil to take home.
