Michelle Bruhn

Michelle lives in White Bear Lake, growing a family and lots of food in her backyard gardens. A lifelong gardener she started sharing her journey on her blog, Forks in the Dirt. With a passion for eating local she not only grows much of family’s food, she also knows lots of local farmers, which lead to her launch the White Bear Lake Winter Farmers Markets. She also writes for other publications, teaches classes and volunteers with the White Bear Lake elementary school gardens. Mostly, she just wants you to experience the delicious pride that comes with knowing where your food comes from.

Growing an herbal garden is rewarding on many levels. Growing herbs specifically for tea opens new worlds of flavor and self-care. This is a beginner’s class and we’ll focus on well-known herbs; both the growing of and preparation of the plants for tea.  We’ll also get to sample some homegrown teas.
