Mary Kay Rosenthal

Kay’s love of fiber arts began as a Girl Scout and continues to this day!  She has explored many aspects of handicrafts, but her true passion is hand spinning.  The process of constructing fibers to spin, dye and weave gives her the satisfaction of “making something from scratch”, as it is creative, experimental and challenging.

Kay has been a member of Spinning and Weavers Guilds in Alaska and Minnesota for many years.  She was a Community Education Director in various locations in Alaska, Wisconsin and Minnesota.  She currently lives in Grand Marais, MN and is actively involved with the Northwoods Fiber Guild and North House Folk School, as well as other volunteer activities.
