Jon Anderson

Jon always thought that some day, maybe, he’d build a log cabin.  He jumped in by taking a class, followed by reading anything he could find on this traditional building technique, which in turn led to building a hand-scribed log cabin in the woods with an axe and chainsaw.  Building the log cabin was the gateway drug to timber framing and dovetail construction!   Along the way he has acquired rigging, cutting, sharpening and layout skills with a focus on traditional craftsmanship.  He has taught timber framing techniques at several locations, including his own studio https://www.andersontimberworks.com/ .  Jon especially welcomes students who are new to the craft.
