You Can Sew! Lined Zipper Bag (In-Person) April 29, 2023

Bring your sewing machine and build confidence in your sewing skills while learning to make your own lined zipper pouch. Instructor Lynn Berens will guide you through the process of cutting fabric, ironing, and sewing your bag.

Students will make a fully lined zipper bag that measures approximately 5“ x 7“. The bag also has a loop on the side and a zipper pull.

Your instructor will provide the following materials:

• Pre-cut fabric for the bag front, back, and lining
• zipper
• cord for the handle
• zipper pull
• direction sheet with the steps to make the bag

*Additional bag kits will be available for purchase during class for $10.

Students are asked to bring:

• sewing machine
• white thread
• bobbin full of white thread
• standard foot AND zipper foot
• fabric scissors
• sewing pins or clips
• Optional: iron, seam ripper
• snacks if needed

Skill Level
This is a late beginner sewing class. Students should have a good understanding of their sewing machine, know how to thread it and fill a bobbin. 

Age Requirement
Students ages 16 and older and welcome to attend this class.
